http://www.autobytel.com/toyota/prius/2012/ Toyota changed the automotive landscape in 2000 when it launched the first generation of the Prius. Now for the 2012 model year there is a whole Prius family to choose from which includes the regular Prius, Prius v for larger families, Prius Plug-in, and now the Prius c. The 2012 Toyota Prius c is aimed at those who do a lot of city driving. The Prius c has a few more sporty bits to entice younger buyers. Up front the fascia wide and aggressive, the headlights look cool and updated. Out back there are fins on the tail lights which help to create a vortex and keep the Prius c stable at speed. Starting at about $19,000 the Prius c has 4 different trim levels. The engine on the 2012 Toyota Prius c is a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor and battery pack which completes the Hybrid Synergy Drive. The Prius c only has 99 horsepower but the fuel economy more than makes up for this small figure. Gas mileage for the Prius c is an amazing 53 MPG in the city and 46 MPG on the highway. With any sub-compact hatchback you might think there is not very much cargo room. With the seats folded down the Prius c has 17 cubic feet of cargo room. The batter pack is located under the back seat which makes for a tight squeeze. Up front is a different story as the driver and passenger seats are very comfortable. They are wrapped in a simulated leather which means no cows were harmed in the making of the seats. Everything is within easy reach. The vehicle displays gives tons of info related to the fuel economy. With only 99 horsepower the car should be sluggish. But on the highway the Prius c performs pretty well. The drive is sportier than the regular Prius which is right up the alley of younger potential buyers. Toyota has done a great job of creating a comfortable ride. The 2012 Toyota Prius c is lighter which helps with handling and the car also gets wonderful gas mileage ratings.See More Car Videos http://www.autobytel.com/car-videos/Join Our Facebook Pagehttp://www.facebook.com/autobytel

Apr 12, 2012 - @MrNothingButAir they may be ugly to you and they appeal to guys that don't like wasting gas. I don't need a car that gets to 60 in 6 seconds, I'm not going on a racetrack.

Apr 20, 2012 - I think the car has great styling inside and out. The prius has never been about all out speed, so I don't get why people always talk about its acceleration. Let the speed demons get out in front first and get all the speeding tickets.

Apr 24, 2012 - I like this guy, tons of information but easy to fallow. No need an attidude to describe a car, he sounds smart and nice. ...which is probably who concider to buy this type of cars.

Apr 24, 2012 - Why do the seats have cracks in them?
dunti21 says:
Apr 24, 2012 - The miles aren't different, the gallons are different. UK and US gallons are not the same, and therefore mpg ratings are different.

May 11, 2012 - The leather interior was a concern for green customers. Toyota dropped real leather and started using synthetic, because it uses less energy to manufacture, than growing crops to feed cattle to butcher and use their hides to sit on.
TBoogie86 says:
May 11, 2012 - Hasn't happened yet with any generation of Prius, thanks to the cooler running NIMH batteries. The Chev Volt, on the other hand, has had some "issues" with their Lithium Ion batteries.

May 13, 2012 - they do better with 0 to 30. These cars have good amount of torque but no hp. It would be fine within the city. For highway you need regualr prius

May 14, 2012 - What does it matter how fast it is. It's made to save gas. Your comment serves no purpose except for being annoying.

Apr 11, 2012 - Just paid $22,700 for a Prius C option 3 (included powered sunroof and floor/trunk mats) in SF Bay Area. Plus tax and license fees, it comes up to $24, 964.93. Just want to put it out there because I was so tired of making bargaining and couldn't find the correct market price. Enjoying the car so much so far...
