Jan 2, 2012 - I think they were oringinally a 9.5cwt 6 and were remodelled to make an 8. This involved replacing one of the bells (adding treble and tenor) to help the transition thus leaving one of the original 6 which still fits in. They are a really good 8. The middle 6 are not too bad either.

Jan 2, 2012 - No, they are pleasant sounding, bar the Thomas Wroth 5th, but they probably werent allowed to tune that too much!! As I say, L&J (that rhymes!!) produced some good bells.

Jan 2, 2012 - Nice sounding but any idea why they have a 5# as they arent that heavy? L&J bells tended to be good and the 6 & 7 here are no exception!! The back 6 (of 8) at my home tower at St Mark Swindon are L&J and they are super!!
