Understanding how to comply with US DOT truck regulations has always been problematic for contractors who typically use small trucks. Even a pick up truck is covered under certain conditions. The US Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration requires that all regulatory compliance with the Department of Transportation is the responsibility of all commercial vehicle operations. The Federal Motor Carrier Regulations (390.3)(e)(2) require every driver and employee shall be instructed and shall comply with, all applicable regulation. All drivers are required to familiarize themselves with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR). After completing this training program, drivers will have a general understanding of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations Parts 382, 383, 390, 391, & 395.Presented by Tony DiLorenzo of CNA Insurance.
